Studio 7 is an International Actor’s Ensemble based in Kathmandu, Nepal. It was founded in 1981 and has since performed under the direction of Sabine Lehmann. Studio 7 at present has actors, dancers and musicians from Nepal, India, Tibet, USA and Germany. The performances are in English. Studio 7 has performed plays ranging from Brecht’s “Three Penny Opera” to the Life Story and 100,000 Poems of “Milarepa” and episodes from “The Mahabharat”. Studio 7’s plays choose to reflect the historical as well as the current events of the country, in a style which can be called “Magic Realism”.
